Photographs capture a single moment in time, giving you a chance to push pause and soak in all the details of a fleeting memory.
Sixteen years ago, I fell in love with photography.
I fell in love with documenting life: from milestones to the mundane.
A baby’s first breath. A toddler’s first step. A groom’s first look.
I love going beyond the typical wedding day images to memorialize the meaningful moments behind the scenes—moments that capture the essence of your relationships: With each other. With family. With special friends.
I love working with high school seniors to carefully curate images that tell the story of who you are, where you are going, and who you want to be.
My job is life-giving, and I'm honored to make a living helping clients (who often become friends) create beautiful memories that stand the test of time and share your story for generations to come.
I was 18 and a freshman in college. I just got a job at the J.Crew call center in Lynchburg, VA when he saw me for the first time. He leaned over to his best friend and said jokingly, “I’m going to marry that girl.” Later that week, he made his way over to where I was taking calls and wrote me a note asking me out. I said "yes" and the rest is history. He still has that note--and my heart.
In 1998, Noy accepted his first real job out of college. We packed our belongings in a truck and moved from Florida to Colorado--and never looked back.
Noy works as a golf course superintendent in the foothills of Colorado, where he is surrounded by natural beauty—and where he has honed his own photography skills. I’m proud to have him as 2nd shooter for Dawn Sparks Photography. Working together brings out the best in both of us.
Noy and I have been married 27 years and have four beautiful kids who definitely keep us on our toes!
Life is beautiful!
