This was my last portrait session of the year and it was chilly. Not as chilly as this week has been but still very cold. I think it lasted all of 15 minutes. But we got some great stuff. Here’s one of my favs.
I’ve got one more wedding coming up in Vail and then I’m done for the year! It’s been such a great year and I’m excited to see what 2010 has in store for me and my clients!
Meet Christy. She is one amazing woman with an amazing story. She started a non-profit organization called Widow’s Walk, which is committed to caring for widows in their time of grief and need. As a mother of five children, Christy was unexpectedly widowed herself, and is now using the struggles she’s experienced and the knowledge found down the long roads she’s travelled to help other woman alone and grieving. I have had the privilege of photographing two of her children so when she asked if I could do some headshots for her to use for Widow’s Walk, I was honored. If you know someone in need of support from losing a spouse, Christy would love to help! Also, if you would like to support Widow’s Walk, they would be thrilled to speak with you! Here are a couple of fun shots we got during her shoot. She is just beautiful!

I’m SO behind on blogging again. I photographed Allison and Drew a couple of weeks ago at The Denver Botanical Gardens at Chatfield. I love shooting there…It’s got such a variety of feels and Drew and Allison rocked their engagement session. Thanks guys, I can’t wait for your wedding next year!

Kylie is the daughter of Allison, one of my 2010 brides. Allison was stuck in traffic when I arrived at her engagement shoot so while we waited for her, I took advantage of some extra time to photograph Kylie. She is 7 like my oldest daugther and I really love photographing this age! She was a sweetie and didn’t mind being in front of the camera one bit.
In other important news, I want to make sure I post the holiday deadlines. Since next week is Thanksgiving, I’m already slammed with holiday orders. Here is the info you need:
December 1: Last day to place and pay for orders in time for Christmas with NO rush fee.
December: 2-10: 50% rush fee for paid orders needed for holiday delivery.
December 11-20: 100% rush fee for paid orders needed for holiday delivery.
I will be closed from December 22nd through January 5th for the holidays and will return all emails and calls on January 6th.

Robyn wrote: I'm looking forward to getting your Christmas card, too. Hopefully, ours will be received before Christmas, they are still being processed. I have to say that reading your blogs and looking at your pictures is one of the highlights of my week. I'm always a little sad if I don't see a new post every couple of days! I know that you are a very busy woman, so can't post on a daily basis. I often wish I could sit down and look through all of your photos, not just the few on your blog. I also wish that i lived closer, so that you could photographic my family more. I still treasure the maternity/ newborn photos that you took of me/us when AK was born. Ok, so this year, I haven't really asked a lot from Santa, but I have to confess that I have been secretly envying/drooling over my friends I-pod touches. I have a nano, so am trying to be content with that, but I would so love an I pod touch, being a music lover and all :) So we'll see. Love you! (12/16/09, 8:31 pm)
