I know I know…I’ve been MIA again around here recently.  I took a SWEET Florida vacation for 10 days and I have to be honest, I wasn’t ready to come home.  It was so nice getting away from Colorado’s unpredictable spring.  As a Florida native, I start getting really itchy for warm weather around March.  So for over a week, our family enjoyed swimming everyday in Memmie and Pop’s pool, surfing, chasing waves, visiting Disney and family that we don’t see often.  When we arrived back in Denver on Sunday evening, it was wonderful to see that the weather had warmed up and that everything had turned green.  It certainly made coming back to reality a lot easier.  I’ll try to post pictures of some of our Florida trip soon but  before I do, I need to blog Kim.  

Kim is another one of my senior reps and she did an AMAZING job at her shoot.  It was freezing the Saturday of her shoot but you’d never know it from her pictures.  When Kim mentioned that she owns horses and loves riding, I knew I wanted to incorporate that into her senior pictures.  I mean, how hard is it to take pictures of a horse, right?  I now have a new respect for animal photographers because Tucker wasn’t exactly into pictures and really just wanted to eat the whole time.  We managed some great shots anyway.  Here are a few from her session.

I had my first Senior Rep Session on Wednesday with Bridget!  Bridget was sent to me from Paige whose wedding I’ll be photographing later in the year!   Thank you Paige!  Bridget was A-MAZ-ING!  She’s beautiful, smart, sweet and was the perfect model!   Her mom came along as we trekked all over Cherry Creek for her shoot!  Polly did an amazing job with Bridget’s makeup and posing!   I had so much fun with all of you!

Polly’s husband John is also a photographer and was nice enough to join us on the shoot and teach me some new things about off-camera lighting.  He’s been helping me out with some graphic design projects for my Graduate market too.    Thanks John!

I’ve had this idea in my head for months…one that I just knew I had to put into action and I’m so excited that things are finally coming together.  I am starting a new side to my business and it’s just for high school senior girls!  The idea is to give Senior Pictures a whole new twist.  Making the girls feel like models by including a makeup artist and hair stylist and giving them their own unique location and theme for their shoot.  It’s not just senior pictures, it’s an experience they’ll never forget.

To kick off the business, I have a new website in the works and I’m in need of 10 beautiful, outgoing Junior girls to model for me!  Each girl must be from a different highschool.  So, contact me fast before the position from your highschool is taken!  Cutoff is May 1st, 2009.
