The youngest of five, Beau is a complete gentleman and a great guy all around.  I shot his sister, Paige’s wedding a month ago and his sister Ryann watched my kids for a couple of summers.  They are a very giving, beautiful family and  I’m proud to know them.  Thanks Beau for being such a great model!  It was a pleasure getting to know you!

Briana

Briana is a smart cookie!  She’s got her head on straight and knows exactly what she wants.  I love people like that!  Brianna knew she wanted her pictures at an old bookstore because she’s an avid reader.  We settled on the Tattered Cover to start our session.  I could spend the whole day at this bookstore.

Briana is also a dancer and has been for as long as she can remember.  So, there was no question we would photograph her in her Ballet attire!  I love this open field by the Littleton Historical Museum.

Something about this one that I love:

We were interrupted by a quick rain storm but I’m glad we waited it out for this glorious lighting:

And look at the amazing sky to end the session!

Thanks Briana for a fabulous time!  Brianna’s makeup was done by the super talented Jenece Amelia.

I am so excited to have Brenna representing Dawn Sparks Graduates at her high school this year.  As beautiful as she is sweet, Brenna was a total rock star during her senior pictures, braving the blazing sun!  It was a ton of fun hanging out and getting to know you!  Thanks Polly for a fabulous job on makeup, as always!

Also, I’ll be announcing a Graduate contest in the near future!

Kim and other misc…

I know I know…I’ve been MIA again around here recently.  I took a SWEET Florida vacation for 10 days and I have to be honest, I wasn’t ready to come home.  It was so nice getting away from Colorado’s unpredictable spring.  As a Florida native, I start getting really itchy for warm weather around March.  So for over a week, our family enjoyed swimming everyday in Memmie and Pop’s pool, surfing, chasing waves, visiting Disney and family that we don’t see often.  When we arrived back in Denver on Sunday evening, it was wonderful to see that the weather had warmed up and that everything had turned green.  It certainly made coming back to reality a lot easier.  I’ll try to post pictures of some of our Florida trip soon but  before I do, I need to blog Kim.

Kim is another one of my senior reps and she did an AMAZING job at her shoot.  It was freezing the Saturday of her shoot but you’d never know it from her pictures.  When Kim mentioned that she owns horses and loves riding, I knew I wanted to incorporate that into her senior pictures.  I mean, how hard is it to take pictures of a horse, right?  I now have a new respect for animal photographers because Tucker wasn’t exactly into pictures and really just wanted to eat the whole time.  We managed some great shots anyway.  Here are a few from her session.
