Yet another fun engagement shoot with Allison and David. Full post to follow soon.

Mmmmm…..can’t wait to post the rest of this session in a few days.

Oh beautiful summer light, I’ve missed you dearly!

I found this old blue chair at the Goodwill the other day and picked it up for Taylor and Dwight’s engagement session downtown. We drug it out of the car into this lot. As I sat down on the dingy chair to show them how I wanted them to pose, the sky opened up and started hailing on us before I even got the first shot out of the camera. Fifteen minutes later the storm was over and the chair was wet. But they were great sports about the whole thing and the light was just perfect for the shoot.

So, first let me start off by saying Mexico DIDN’T happen. I woke up the morning of my flight feeling like death. I managed to drag myself to Urgent Care to find out that I had strep. I tried to make it to the airport to just get on the plane but by the time I got my prescription filled and gathered my things, I just didn’t have time to make it. No more flights that day and a HUGE fee to reschedule to the next day. I guess it was a good thing I missed the flight because the next day I ended up in the ER begging for morphine and a saline drip. 11 days later, I’m finally feeling much much better. I pray none of you get that kind of strep…I really didn’t know it could cause THAT much pain. So, I’m SO sad I missed my dear friend Anne and laying on the beach drinking things with umbrellas in them but it just wasn’t meant to be.
On a lighter note, I had a blast photographing Ashleigh and Erick’s engagement at HERITAGE SQUARE! It kind of feels like an old Scooby Doo Movie scene and could be a little creepy after dark but it was the perfect place for an engagement session.
Ashleigh and Erick will be getting married this July in Keystone and I can’t wait! I love shooting in the high country.
