vote again | contests, portraits, weddings

Something crazy was going on with my blog this morning and some ancient language was being used and the voting post was the culprit.  So I had to delete it all together and start all over.

Below are the contestants from the last contest.  Thank you guys for participating!  The voting will start again today (votes from the previous post will still be counted).  The winner will receive a framed 16×20 of their picture or another picture from that session and all of the runners up will receive an 8×10 of their photo!  Voting ends Monday night and the winners will be annouced Tuesday morning!

Good luck!

No. 1 Elizabeth

Mom says:

"So hard to pick just one picture.  I can’t even decide on what three I want to order!  But the image I do love is 032 of Elizabeth blowing a bubble.  She always blew bubbles and it made me laugh so many times even when I was so exhausted.  She was such a happy little thing and still is.  It seems like years ago!  I just love having this picture along with so many other great pictures to remind me of how pure, happy and little she was.  I also have to say I don’t know where those beautiful blue eyes come from (both her father and I have brown) but I just love them!  It has been and always will be the topic of conversation when people meet her for the first time "Look at those blue eyes" they say!  Elizabeth is 13 months know and she still has the same blue eyes as the day she was born.  And she is still making me laugh every day although, not by blowing bubbles.  I love her and her sister more than anything in this world.  They have changed my life forever!"

No. 2 Gavin

Mom says:

Gavin – what an angel! I love the way his eyes speak to you in this photo – he is telling you just how happy and content he is – and you have to love that trademark dimple in his chin – this photo evokes the happiest of emotions, motherhood, innocence and joy!"

Mom says:

"I love the fall colors, the 3 different colors of hair that my kiddos have and of course, Bradley’s laugh is contagious. It captures all three of them perfectly!"

No. 5 Amanda & Jim

Amanda says:

It doesn’t seem possible, but nearly 3 years ago, I married the love of my life: Jim Lamb.

Jim and I were married at the Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs, Colorado on August 12, 2005. We had an outdoor ceremony, and of course, it rained. The pastor asked numerous times if I’d like to move things inside, to the "back-up" ceremony location. Each time I said no; what I really wanted was for him to finish. See, while I rather enjoyed the rain (it cooled me off, and loosened my too-tight shoes), I knew my guests probably weren’t having the best time. After the ceremony, we headed up the hill to an overlook with Garden of the Gods as the backdrop. I was nervous that it would still be raining, but to my delight, it stopped just as we got into the car. Even better, we were left with a beautiful sunset that cast an amazing light on the mountains behind us.

This is my favorite shot from that shoot. It reminds me that sometimes, in life, rain storms can turn into beautiful sunsets! Jim likes the picture because of the excellent view of Pikes Peak. (He climbs 14ers in his spare time.) Thanks for preserving our memories!

No. 6 Amanda & Megan

Mom says:

The first of Megan and Amanda when they were only 3 weeks old.  It looks like Megan is telling Amanda a secret and it is so like they are today!  Amanda is fairly laid back and Megan tends to be a little silly!  This is still one of my favorite pictures and everyone comments on it when they see it in our house still today.  It was also on our birth announcements and at that time, everyone said the photos were angelic!
